DAY 1 - Beijing Arrival

Upon arrival, meet and transfer to the hotel. Rest of day at leisure. Overnight at Presidential Beijing Hotel or similar. Overnight at hotel

DAY 2 - Beijing

You can't come to Beijing and not get a photo taken on one of Beijing's cultural icons -- the Tian'anmen Square, the world's largest square lying in the middle of Beijing's central axis, an imaginary line splitting the city into symmetrical halves. Head directly to the north of the Tian'anmen Square for the Forbidden City (UNESCO), the world's largest imperial palace complex and world's largest collection of ancient wood structures. Now housing the Palace Museum, the Forbidden City was once home of the emperor and his household for almost 5 centuries. Afterwards, take a visit to the Summer Palace (UNESCO), the largest imperial garden in in the world. (B, L)

DAY 3 - Beijing

Today setting out to the China's most renowned monument - Badaling Great Wall (UNESCO), which is the most spectacular structures ever built by humans and as the only one visible from space. With all of its cultural symbolism and its 2,000 years' history, the dazzling man-made structure is a place you simply cannot miss. (2 hours’ visit at least). Jade Stone Workshop visit back to downtown Beijing. Later, drive back to downtown and take an outside tour of the Bird Nest & Water Cube, where to appreciate the fantastic night view of the Olympic Park. (B, L)

DAY 4 - Beijing

Today you'll visit another renowned imperial site, the Temple of Heaven (UNESCO), where ancient Chinese emperors made sacrifices to Heaven and prayed for bountiful harvests. Pearl Workshop visit en route. Then you'll be taken to the culture of grassroots Beijingers - Hutong tour with pedicab ride and home visit. The Hutong courtyard, traditional courtyard homes of local Beijing people, is symmetrical and neat inside with room on all four sides. (B, L)

DAY 5 - Beijing - Xi'an

In the morning, transfer for a flight to Xi’an. On arrival, take a visit to the Shaanxi Provincial Museum, housing large quantities, full categories, and high-grade precious art treasures, stone carvings and unearthed historical relics of the Han and Tang dynasties. Then head to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Built in the Tang Dynasty, it is one of China's most famous Buddhist pagodas housing Buddhist manuscripts and sutra brought back from India by Xuanzang, the great monk who brought Buddhism east. DAY 6 - Xi'an

Take a full-day excursion to the Terracotta Warriors Museum. Admire the 7,000 terracotta soldiers that have stood guard over China's first emperor for over 2,200 years. A pit stops at the Ceramics & Pottery Workshop en route. Tonight, experience the enchantment and the splendors of the Dumpling Dinner & Tang Dynasty Show, taking you back thousands of years. DAY 7 - Xi'an – Chongqing

Today, transfer for a flight to Chongqing. On arrival, take a visit to the Panda Zoo, and enjoy local flavored hot pot dinner before embarking on the Yangtze Cruise (Deluxe 5-star Cruise, standard cabin with private balcony). (B, L, D)

DAY 8 - Yangtze River, Three Gorges

Today, start a sail for a distance of 430 miles in all the great gorges and deep mountain valleys. Afternoon shore excursion to the Shibaozhai. The Shibaozhai is a 12-storey wooden pavilion built in the Ming Dynasty, which looks like a giant bonsai on the Yangtze River. A cofferdam was built around the Shibaozhai to protect it from the rising water level caused by the construction of the Three Gorges Dam. Overnight at hotel. (B, L, D)

DAY 9 - Yangtze River, Three Gorges

This morning sail into Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge, the river changes to wildly stirring, riffle water along with swirling bubbles. The mossy cliffs are hemmed by the banging pathways under the Twelve Peaks. When the boat gets to the famed Shennong Stream, we change to small boat and sail deep into the Shennong Stream. Then we return to our boat and continue sailing into the Xiling Gorge. (B, L, D)

DAY 10 - Yangtze River – Yichang – Shanghai

Excursion to the Three Gorges Dam site and pass through the 5 ship locks with lowering our boat down 412 feet, before we end our cruise at Yichang. Disembark at Yichang and transfer for a flight to Shanghai. On arrival, meet and transfer to the hotel. (B, L)

DAY 11 - Shanghai

A full day tour begins with the Yu Garden (UNESCO). Owing to its ingenious design in Ming and Qing dynasties, it becomes a real museum of Chinese ancient architecture. Continue to visit the Shanghai Museum, with its 120,000-piece collection of Chinese ancient treasures. Wander through the bustling Bund, featuring outstanding European colonial architectures, new skyscrapers and historical buildings in Shanghai. Then take a visit to Xintiandi Street and Pudong New Development Zone. After your dinner, enjoy a spectacular Acrobatic Show, known as one of the most fabulous performance arts in China. (B, L, D)

DAY 12 - . Shanghai - Suzhou - Shanghai

Today, take a full-day excursion to Suzhou, which is known as the ``Venice of the East``. Suzhou is a 2,500-year-old city renowned the world over for its traditional gardens, ancient canals and silk production. In 1997 Suzhou's classic garden was designated an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival, you will visit the Master of Nets Garden, the smallest and most proportional of all the beautiful gardens in Suzhou. Make a pit stop at the Silk Factory and learn how the legendary silkworm brought warm and prosperity to the ancient Chinese. Afterwards, continue to take a boat trip along the Grand Canal and get close to the world's oldest and longest canal. Then stroll around the Pingjiang Road Old Town Area. In the late afternoon, take the Bullet Train back to Shanghai. Upon arrival, meet and transfer to the hotel. (B, L)

DAY 13 - Shanghai Departure

After breakfast, check-out at hotel. Transfer to the airport for your departure flight. End of services. (B)
