DAY 1 - Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) – Arrival

You are arriving in the biggest & busiest city of Vietnam, the Ho Chi Minh City which was well known as “the pearl of Far East” before 1975 under the name SAIGON. Now it is the major center of politics, economy, culture and education, and tourism of the Vietnam. Upon arrival at airport, meet and transfer from airport to hotel in city Central. Rest of day is your relaxing time after a long flight. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

DAY 2 - Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta

The “rice bowl” of Vietnam, Mekong delta is carpeted with rice paddies, floating markets, crisscross rivers and canals. Ben Tre, popular known for coconut, attracts visitors to its fresh-aired environment of large green coconut & fruits gardens. After around 2.5 hours’ drive from busting Saigon, we board a motorboat and visit Coconuts Wholesale River Market. Observe lively activities of trading boats filled with coconut, coconut processing, and learn the difference between on-land and floating market. You then have a short walk on the narrow village lane to a local family. Chat with them about their daily routine, the culture and customs. Following is a row boat through the crisscross canals; an easy cycling or motor-cart in peaceful rural road to visit a coconut workshop making brooms and producing coconut fiber factory. Lunch with Mekong specialties is served at a local riverside restaurant. After a short break, the boat will take you to the pier where the waiting driver will transfer you back to Ho Chi Minh City. DAY 3 - Ho Chi Minh City – Da Nang – Hoi An

After breakfast, depart to visit the moving War Remnants Museum which presents a partial, but riveting, view of the American War, as it is known in Vietnam. Continue to the Reunification Palace, former residence of the Indochina Governor General and later President of the Republic of Southern Vietnam until the fall of Saigon in April 30, 1975. Continue to visit to Notre Dame Cathedral (subject to availability); Central Post Office and the last stop at the bustling Ben Thanh Market. In the afternoon, transfers to airport for short flight to Da Nang city. On arrival, meet and transfer 30km to your hotel in Hoi An town, check-in and have free time. (B) Optional Activity: Romantic Dinner on Bamboo raft Experience a short basket boat trip on the river to enjoy one of the most beautiful scenery and sunset in Hoi An BBQ dinner will be served on a private bamboo raft on the riverbank. You will be served with fresh food and daily catch from the surrounding river, fresh local vegetables will be prepared as appetizers. Includes: transfers by private vehicle, BBQ dinner on bamboo raft.

DAY 4 - Hoi An

After your breakfast, we explore the Hoi An ancient town on foot. The Japanese Covered Bridge retains a harmony of architectural styles, combining Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese cultural characteristics. Ong Pagoda is one of the typical pagodas in Hoi An’s old quarter, built in 1653 and is dedicated to Quan Thanh De Quan (Quan Van Truong). Fukienese Assembly Hall was built in 1692 by Chinese Phuoc Kien merchants, is architecturally unique with its artistic ornaments and beautiful statues, Chinese architectural style combined with Vietnamese workmanship has enriched it with Hoi An’s cultural character. Tan Ky Ancient House was constructed almost two centuries ago as the house of a Vietnamese merchant. It has been lovingly preserved and now looks almost exactly as it did in the early 19th century. Enjoy your free time in the afternoon for further exploration. (B) Optional Activity: Sunset Cocktail Cruise Refurbished from a traditional fishing vessel, this relaxing sunset cruise is perfect for unwinding after a long touring day. Be calm, sip cocktail, and observe the river culture & local daily activities while enjoying the beauty of the setting sun on the waterways. Make sure your camera is handy to capture beautiful moments of Hoi An. Includes: transfers by private vehicle, local guide, boat trip, cocktail, snack and Net fishing.

DAY 5 - Hoi An Countryside Tour- Flight to Ha Noi

The morning excursion offers you a closer look into the countryside life in the outskirt of Hoi An Ancient town. Enjoy a bike ride through picturesque villages, rice fields, graveyard, see water buffalos, water coconut gardens, then meet & talk with local. Continuing with an exciting basket boat rowing on the water coconut river and learn how to catch crabs. Later on, we take a boat ride on a stunning river to see how local fishermen catch fish, following by a cooking demonstration and enjoy tasty lunch prepared by your host. After lunch, transfer to Danang airport for a short flight to Hanoi Capital city. On arrival, meet and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Hanoi. (B, L)

DAY 6 - Ha Noi Rickshaw and Foodie Highlights

The city tour includes Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh, Temple of Literature and the First University of Vietnam (Van Mieu- Quoc Tu Giam), and the Army Museum & Hanoi Flag Tower. Explore the busiest small streets and long narrow lanes in the old quarter that trishaws, taxi, electric cars are inaccessible. Get more interesting information about traditional cuisines of Vietnam, its culture and the eating habits of locals. Taste different kinds of local foods (by the way locals do) that are not be seen at luxurious restaurants. In the afternoon, we experience a cyclo (trishaws) ride to explore the old streets of Hanoi. DAY 7 - Ha Noi - Ha Long Bay

Say goodbye to Ha Noi after your breakfast. The land journey to Ha Long Bay takes almost 4 hours with one stopover for a short break. Upon arrival at Tuan Chau Port. You will overnight a cruise on Ha Long Bay, the World Nature Heritage. Lunch served on board. The cruise passes by many rocks and islets with different shapes. Join some interesting activities such as visiting a fishing village by row boat and swimming. Again, your dinner will be served in the dining room. Overnight on board. (B, L, D)

DAY 8 - Ha Long Bay–Noi Bai Airport– Flight to Luang Prabang

Early wake up for Tai Chi practice on sun deck. After breakfast or brunch, disembark and transfer to Noi Bai airport for flight to Luang Prabang, Laos. Upon arrive in Luang Prabang, meet and transfer to your hotel in the tranquil city of Luang Prabang. Overnight stay in Luan Prabang. (B)

DAY 9 - Luang Phrabang - Pak Ou Cave

After breakfast, board a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Then in the afternoon, visit the National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of the artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through the last sovereign. Continue to visit the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represent the classical architecture of Luang Prabang temple. Then you will climb up to the top of Phousi Mount for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. In the evening, at your leisure time you may explore Street Night Bazaar, where you can find the lovely collection and handmade textile by local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. (B)

DAY 10 - Luang Prabang – Kuang Si Waterfalls

In the morning, you will drive through the Luang Prabang countryside to Kuang Si Waterfalls. Along the way by the Mekong River you will see gorgeous landscapes of many rice fields, hills and villages. You will visit an ethnic minority at a village where their local culture has remained unchanged for centuries. Upon reaching Kuang Si Waterfalls, relax and enjoy the magnificent natural surroundings. Afternoon is your free time. Overnight in Luang Prabang. (B) Optional: Picnic Lunch at Kuang Si waterfalls: Enjoy a special picnic lunch prepared alongside the falls. Enjoy local dishes with a million-dollar view of the Kuang Si falls. Includes: picnic lunch with soft drink (table setup and food from restaurant).

DAY 11 - Luang Prabang – Siem Reap

After breakfast, you will be free until your transfer to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap, Cambodia. Upon arrive at Siem Reap airport, meet and transfer to hotel in city central. (B)

DAY 12 - Siem Reap - Angkor Heritage Sites

We start a very special and busy day as you will explore some of Angkor’s most beautiful temples. You will visit the West Gate of Angkor Thom – undiscovered by mass tourist. Continue to visit Angkor Thom, the ancient royal city of the Khmer Empire with its centre piece; the Bayon temple. Although it may look like a shapeless mass of stone, further scrutiny reveals towers with enigmatic faces of former King Jayavarman VII. Continue to the Terrace of the Elephants, which served as a platform from where the King could welcome back his victorious army and the Terrace of the Leper King, which holds perfect carvings winding along a narrow passageway that leads to the Baphuon complex. Continue to Ta Prohm, considered to be one of Angkor’s jewels with is overgrown fig trees, giving a haunting yet exotic atmosphere. The magnificent roots of the trees have merged themselves over the centuries with the temple’s huge stone blocks, emphasizing a ‘forgotten city’ feeling. In the afternoon, continue to Angkor Wat. Angkor Wat is a World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendor. Angkor Wat features the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology. We finish by experiencing a sunset over the rice fields from the royal crematorium of Pre Rup, a classic view of the Cambodian countryside. Overnight in Siem Reap. (B)

DAY 13 - Siem Reap – Angkor Ruins- Tonle Sap Lake

After breakfast, you will start to explore the most highlights of Angkor Complex with: Banteay Srei: nearly everyone's favorite site. The special charm of this temple lies in its compact size, remarkable state of preservation, and the excellence of its decorative carving; Banteay Samre: Its rose-colored sandstone walls are decorated with carvings and bas-reliefs, which are among the most accomplished Angkor has to offer. In the midafternoon, take short excursion to Tonle Sap Lake for a short boat trip to floating village to explore local life there, enjoy amazing sunset view on the lake. Go back to your hotel in the city. (B)

DAY 14 - Siem Reap – Departure

Optional Activity: Blessing Ceremony at Khmer Pagoda. Coming to Cambodia – the country of Buddhism and Temples, more than visit the famous temples of World Heritage Site, you have chance to deeply understand and feel the culture, historical, and spirit values of the country by coming to the pagoda and be offered by the monks. Located in the heart of Siem Reap town, Wat Preah Prom Rath is one of the most beautiful pagodas in town with French colonial architecture reflecting its history and a large garden filled with statues. Participate in a private good luck blessing ceremony, performed by local monks that reside at the temple. Sit on carpets while the monks chant blessings and sprinkle holy water and flowers on you – a traditional way which is believed pass on the good luck of the gods. Afterwards, a sacred thread will be tied around your wrist. This will protect you from any evil spirits or accidents - then say goodbye to the monks and head for the next destination or back to hotel. Best time to do: Early morning before main activity of the day or before flight time after 11.00am Includes: Transfer, tour guide in your language, donation, offerings to the monks.
