PACKAGE DETAILS

DAY 1 - Sunday – Nairobi to Masai Mara

Meet and greet at Nairobi airport. Departure in 4x4 for Masai Mara National Reserve. All large African animals are present here: Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelles, impala, Kirk’s dik-dik, bushbuck, topi, buffalo, ellipsen waterbuck, eland and giraffe, all are there. Famous for its rich wildlife, the Masai Mara is home to not only the “Big 5” (elephant, lion, buffalo, rhino and leopard) but also many birds (over 500 species of birds have been recorded). Composed of vast rolling plains and hills, the Masai Mara is dotted with umbrella thorn acacias and thorny thickets. Picnic lunch en route. (B, L, D)

DAY 2 - . Monday – Masai Mara

Full day game drive in Masai Mara National Reserve. Immerse yourself in this prime wildlife area and connect with nature on every level. Variety is what distinguishes the exceptional from the mundane and this reserve offers copious amounts of variation. Keep your camera handy to capture everything from elephants to gazelles and crocodiles to lions. (B, L, D)

DAY 3 - Tuesday - Masai Mara, Naivasha, Elementaita

Travel to Elementaita Lake. Picnic lunch. Half day guided walk on Crescent Island situated in the deepest part of Lake Naivasha. You will be transferred by boat to the Island. The shores of this beautiful piece of paradise host an abundance of bird life. The scenic beauty and sense of freedom in this little park has seen many film makers alight on its shores to film herds of wildebeest, waterbuck and zebra passing through the grassy savannah. (B, L, D)

DAY 4 - . Wednesday - Elementaita to Amboseli

Travel to Nairobi and feed the lofty wildlife with a visit to the Giraffe Centre. While on your visit you will have the opportunity of getting close to a giraffe or two as well as feed them and watch as they delicately use their long tongues to take the food from your hand. Unique and exhilarating, this visit will get you as close as you possibly can to giraffe in Kenya. Arrival of passengers for ‘Simba’ itinerary. Lunch at the Carnivore Restaurant. Travel to Amboseli National Park. (B, L, D)

DAY 5 - Thursday – Amboseli

Full day game drive in Amboseli National Park. Along the Tanzanian border, the park derives its name from the Masai word “Empusel”, meaning salty, dusty place. Declared a national park to protect its unique and fragile ecosystem, the Amboseli National Park offers landscapes of remarkable contrasts: arid zones alongside the lush oases of the swamps. A particular feature of Amboseli is the possibility to take picture postcard photos of elephants against the backdrop of Kilimanjaro. The park is home to numerous animals (giraffe, wildebeest, antelope, buffalo, lion, cheetah, leopard and hyena ...) as well as 400 species of birds (pelicans, kingfishers, crakes, hamerkop and 47 types of raptor). (B, L, D)

DAY 6 - Friday – Amboseli to Tsavo East

Travel to Tsavo National Park. Picnic lunch on the way. Game drive in Tsavo East National Park. Its dry and flat landscapes, excepting the Yatta Plateau (one of the longest lava flows in the world, after the Ol Donyo Sabuk volcano), showcase a rich wildlife. Grant’s gazelle, zebra, impala, Coke’s hartebeest, giraffe and lion are easily observable. Elephant and buffalo are common and often in large herds of several hundred animals. (B, L, D)

DAY 7 - Tsavo East to Tiwi Beach

Game drive in Tsavo East National Park. Before the main heat of the day, the animals are still alert, and this is the best moment to photograph them in action. Picnic lunch en route to the south coast of Mombasa. Check-in at the hotel. (B, L, D)

DAY 8 - Sunday – Tiwi Beach

Day at leisure at Tiwi Beach. (D)

DAY 9 - Monday – Tiwi Beach departureSunday – Tiwi Beach

Transfer to Mombasa airport.
